The Role
As part of the Living Collections team you will maintain and develop all aspects of animal records within the EZ Living Collections; liaise with and coordinate activities with relevant legal bodies to facilitate animal transfers for Edinburgh Zoo, and assist in developing RZSS’ Animal Collection Plan in support of RZSS’ vision and mission.

About You
To operate effectively in this role, you will demonstrate administrative and data input experience in an office environment and will have good skills with Word, Excel, database and statistical software. A knowledge and understanding of Zoological legislation is essential as is the knowledge based skills to research and question information from a range of sources. Experience in zoo management operations and conservation roles in zoos is desirable and the Diploma in the Management of Zoo and Aquarium Animals or a directly equivalent zoo husbandry qualification would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will have experience of providing first-class customer care and service delivery.

This a full time permanent position where the working hours are 37.5 hours per week and the post involves occasional weekend and evening work.
